LHH is assisting our client in their search for a fully remote Senior Accountant. This is a contract position to start, but has potential to turn into more! Previous pharma/biotech industry experience is preferred. The Senior Accountant must be able to work East Coast hours.
Job Overview:

• Execute comprehensive accounting tasks encompassing the preparation, posting, and reconciliation of transactions across a spectrum of general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile cash on a weekly basis
• Uphold the integrity of accounting records by maintaining them within the general ledgers.
• Demonstrate accountability by adhering to SOX controls within designated realms.
• Facilitate internal and external reporting obligations, ensuring punctual and precise financial reports tailored for managerial, investor, and regulatory consumption.
• Employ financial analysis techniques to discern and elucidate trends and discrepancies.
• Foster collaboration across multifaceted teams to furnish financial insights that fortify Research and Development (R&D) and General & Administrative (G&A) endeavors.
• Provide support during quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors.
• Take full ownership of diverse accounting domains and associated systems.
• Manage Concur and be able to review expenses and forward reports to the correct person for approval
• Continually unearth opportunities to streamline processes and elevate financial operations.
• Take on special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA license preferred
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency in NetSuite preferred
• Proficiency in Coupa is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s)
• Experience with Power BI and Power Query is a plus
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Detail oriented
• Analytical mindset

Pay Range: $55/hr-$65/hr DOE

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
