LHH is working with a company in the Plano area that is adding a new Senior Accountant to their team. This position is open due to significant growth, and it is in a very popular industry. In this role you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, including the preparation of financial statements. Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure business transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP while maintaining compliance with SOX controls
• Assist in preparation of timely and reliable consolidated financial statements and internal financial reporting packages
• Implement Company initiatives related to key accounting processes and internal controls
• Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by accounting staff
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations requiring advanced knowledge of accounting and related operations
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages
• Prepare quarterly schedules to support 10-Q and 10-K reports
• Execute internal controls over the Company’s accounting and financial processes

Job Requirements:

• 1 years of experience in public accounting, preferably Big4
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting
• Strong understanding of month-end close and financial statements preparation processes
• Understanding of internal controls
