Job Overview: The Senior Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, from planning to execution, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing production workflows, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Manage and coordinate daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient production.
• Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor production performance, including quality, efficiency, and output.

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop production team members, including supervisors and operators.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for optimization.
• Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce production costs.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and inspections.
• Address and resolve any quality issues or production defects.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage and report on any incidents or safety concerns.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Oversee production budgets and manage resources effectively to control costs.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and areas of concern.
• Communicate effectively with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making meetings.

Qualifications:

• Costing and Sourcing within an apparel MFG.
• Product Development- RUN with design for the full product life cycle.
• Big box retailers.
• 15 years of Garment Production.
• 2-3 years experience in Mass Markets.
• Knowledgeable in Garment Construction - PO's negotiating and costing.

Working Conditions:

• This role typically requires working in a manufacturing or production facility environment.
• May involve occasional overtime or weekend work to meet production deadlines or address issues.
