LHH is Hiring a Senior Structural Project Engineer Near Albuquerque, NM

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for our client who is expanding their business in the Albuquerque area. In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and strong organizational abilities to successfully complete projects. As a member of a growing office, you'll engage directly with clients and contractors, fostering professional relationships, and contributing to your career development.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and collaborate with engineering and technician teams to produce top-tier project documentation using design and graphics software.
  • Mentor and support junior staff in career development, design techniques, software usage, and code compliance.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional project work and business development activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Proven ability to manage projects of all sizes.
  • At least 12 months as a Professional Engineer and 6 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year; passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successfully managed multiple projects from design to construction completion.
  • Experience with Department of Energy and Department of Defense projects.
  • Effective communicator, experience working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Active member of at least one professional or technical society.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to tackle challenging assignments.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and work.
  • 2 years’ experience as a Professional Engineer and successful completion of the 16-hour structural engineering exam.
