LHH is Hiring a Software Engineering Manager (Relo) Near Camas, WA
LHH Technology is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software developers, oversee development projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves hiring and developing team members, managing project plans, influencing business strategy, improving processes, managing risks, and requiring regular onsite interactions for effective communication. This position is crucial for the operational and strategic aspects of our software development.
Position is 100% on-site residing by the Washington and Portland border. Position is Direct Hire and Full Time (8-5pm PST) OPEN TO RELO & LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS
Responsibilities
- Guide software teams in developing new features and processes. Oversee requirements, design, qualification, and production handoff
- Hire, train, and maintain a skilled team to deliver top-quality software products
- Create and manage project plans to ensure commitments are met. Provide regular status updates to peers and executives
- Collaborate with partners to support business unit and corporate planning
- Implement and enhance systems to support product development. Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Escalate and resolve issues to balance cost, schedule, and performance risks. Facilitate risk-based decision-making
- Maintain regular onsite interactions for effective communication
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years of software development experience
- 3 years in software product management, requirements gathering, and process management in high-tech industries
- 3 years of experience on or supporting a manufacturing floor
- Experience in Leadership roles or Managing a Engineering team required.
- Proficient with software process management tools (e.g., GitHub, JIRA, SVN, Azure DevOps) and management systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SPC, LEAN).
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and NET, C# and C programming.
- Experience in developing software for equipment automation.
Expected Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000
- Target Cash Bonus: 8-10% of wages
