LHH has partnered with an CPA firm in Scottsdale, AZ. who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a direct hire basis. As the Sr. AP Specialist, you will be responsible for various Clients and their corresponding financial tasks, including CIP (construction in progress), 3-way matching invoices to purchase orders and check runs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full cycle accounts payable, and proficiency in using a large ERP based software as well as Excel.

Accounts Payable Job Description:

• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
• Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
• Reviews and approves all vouchers for payment
• Codes and enters invoices for payment
• Maintains aging
• Answers all vendor inquiries
• Prepares and mails AP checks
• Maintains all accounts payable files
• AP Vendor set ups

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
• 4 - 6 years in Accounts Payable Experience
• Strong understanding of General Ledger coding system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in Excel
• Proficient in large accounting ERP based software
• Strong Customer Service
• Strong Critical Thinking

Pay is estimated between 65 - 75K depending on experience and degree.
