LHH Recruitment is working with one of our repeat clients who is looking for a Sr. Marketing Communications Manager with previous people management experience.

The Sr. Marketing Communications Manager will be tasked with developing marketing content and managing a 6-person team consisting of writers and designers. You’ll also managed partnerships with outside vendors.

You’ll be a hands-on leader responsible for writing and editing in addition to having oversight of all marketing content.

WHAT’S REQUIRED :

• 10 years of experience in marketing communications focused roles.
• Significant experience working in a professional services organization such as legal (strongly preferred), consulting, insurance, financial services.
• Must be a very strong writer, editor and proofreader.
• Past experience managing outside vendors and freelancers.
• Exposure to PR is a must.
• Use of a content marketing platform.
• Recent or current people management

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee the creation and updates of marketing content for print and online channels distributed via email such as brochures, internal communications, client notifications, website, etc.
• Write, edit and proofread content.
• Supervise and mentor a team of writers and graphic designers; delegate work as outlined by the Director of Marketing.
• Give guidance on content development for social media channels; stay current on best practices for positioning and maximum engagement.
• Create social media campaigns amplifying published thought leadership and newsworthy initiatives, events, and matters.
• Manage and supervise the work of outside resources (agencies, freelancers, etc.).
• Create an editorial calendar and timeline for website content, performing routine audits of existing materials.
• Ensure consistent messaging and updating content and style guides.
• Coordinate and supervise the design content and production processes, providing creative direction for design and content teams along with outside vendors and consultants.
• Facilitate and manage special projects as requested.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

• BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a writing or marketing communications position within a professional services organization (legal experience or exposure to legal is a BIG plus).
• Superb interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and examples of maintaining relationships with a diverse group of peers, clients and business professionals inside and outside of the organization.
• Proactive with troubleshooting, creative problem solving and follow through skills.
• Be able to identify, define and analyze issues or problems, recommend and implement solutions.
• Strong managerial skills providing clear instruction, direction, and training. Able to determine work priorities and use judgement to solve daily issues as they arise.
