LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a midsize firm in Boston, MA on a search for a Tax and Business Planning Attorney to join its corporate department.

The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience providing tax and planning advice to business clients, including corporate, real estate, and non-profit clients.

In this role, you will provide tax planning advice on a range of matters involving joint ventures, LLC and partnership taxation, private placements, merger, and sale transactions. Additionally, you will be supporting the real estate group in structuring real estate transactions for investors and developers, including section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and advising clients on tax-efficient formation of real estate and other investment funds.

Requirements:

• JD required
• Admitted to Massachusetts (or eligible to be)
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with tax planning for corporate and real estate transactions

This is a great opportunity for a senior associate/partner level attorney who is ready to be the “go-to” person on all tax related matters for the corporate team. There will be an opportunity to inherit existing clients, develop new business, and shape the practice as an eventual leader in the group.
