Liberation Programs, Inc. is Hiring a Women and Family Recovery Navigator - Bridgeport Outpatient Near Bridgeport, CT

Liberation Programs, Inc. is currently seeking a Recovery Navigator to work at our Outpatient Treatment Facility in Bridgeport, CT. The Recovery Navigator will provide outreach services to parenting and pregnant women or to families/support of parenting or pregnant women.
Job Purpose/FunctionThe Recoveree Navigator will serve as a source of hope and support, including as a motivator, recovery resource broker, mentor and liaison to individuals struggling with opioid misuse or other substance misuse, including alcohol. The Recovery Navigator provides services to Recoverees and their families including support, relationship building, strengthening daily living skills, and assistance addressing social determinants of health. The Navigator will utilize Motivational Interviewing skills and provide support to Recoverees and their families who need additional recovery support at Liberation Programs. Recovery Navigators will offer a specialized array of supportive mentorship and peer knowledge resources. Recovery Navigators will assist Recoverees and their families with individualized support that continues for as long as each Recoveree and their family wants and needs the support. The ideal person will be enthusiastic, kind, extremely well organized and passionate in working closely with people in recovery.
Full-Time Schedule: Monday- Friday Qualifications
  • Recovery Coach or Peer Support Certification preferred
  • Experience with Substance Use Disorders
  • Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and automobile insurance
  • Ability to travel to our Bridgeport location, and across Connecticut as needed
  • Reliable and flexible based on clinic needs
  • Understanding of medication-assisted treatment and practices
  • Experience building effective Coach-Recoveree relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively, be an effective listener, and communicate with clinical staff regarding Recoveree needs/progress
  • High School Diploma/GED
