Duties and Responsibilities As a member of our team, support staff play a critical role in ensuring we provide all students with an excellent education. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Modify and prepares instructional materials to support student needs.
• Monitor student work to ensure they understand and are following directions.
• Reinforce learning posture (students are on task, attending, tracking, on the right page, etc.
• Keep track of academic and behavioral data of case load
• Tutors students on assigned class work for the purpose of providing ongoing support in the completion of work assignments
• Provides standardize testing to small group students or 1 v 1
• Support the social/emotional and educational development of students
• Translates in IEP, 504, families’ meetings and events.
• Support with non-instructional times, breaks, bathroom duty, hallway duty and dismissal duties.
• Support and Implement Behavior Intervention Plans
• Assist with clerical duties assigned by administration/DOSO
• Supports with school wide events (families support groups, enrollment days, open house, culture events and field trips).
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree required
• Preferred skills and work experience:

o Demonstrates persistence in overcoming and removing obstacles to goal achievement o Demonstrates a drive, commitment and sense of urgency that inspires others to achieve results o Demonstrated success working with students in traditionally underserved communities’ o Critical thinker and problem-solver o Collaborative team player o Willingness to engage in frequent dialogue and to be self-reflective with regard to teaching

practices o Commitment to analyzing student data to push student achievement forward o Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities and differentiate for those students with special
