We are looking to for a Product Development and Production Assistant to join our team in our Los Angeles studio!
The ideal candidate for a Product Development and Production Assistant position should possess strong organizational and multitasking skills. They should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are crucial, along with a solid understanding of a product lifecycle. A background in manufacturing, or a related field would be beneficial, as well as familiarity with industry-specific tools and software. Additionally, a passion for innovation, creativity, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges are highly desirable qualities.
Duties Responsibilities
• Upload and preserve accurate data in PLM system.
• Track orders from purchase order to shipment on the work-in-progress (WIP) chart.
• Assemble trim and fabric packages for factory cut tickets.
• Travel to local factories to facilitate hand offs and pick-ups.
• Process incoming development and production packages.
• Support both the Product Development and Production team with sample organization.
• Perform quality control inspections on bulk merchandise.
• Maintain organization of fabric and trim libraries.
Qualifications
• Basic understanding of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Must have excellent time-management and organization skills - consistently be able to make deadlines.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and reorder workload in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in person and via email.
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• BA|BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• English, additional language(s) an advantage.
• Cutting and sewing skills or garment construction knowledge are a plus.
• Knowledge of Apparel Magic is a plus.
