Direct Support Professional

(8am-4pm, 3:30 pm-10 pm, 10pm-8am)

Duties:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs (1:1)
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals under your care
- Help individuals develop and maintain social skills and relationships
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals

Skills:

- Experience or knowledge in nursing, dementia care, or assisted living is preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs
- Proficient in meal preparation and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to drive or transport individuals to appointments or community activities (if required)
- Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals in nursing homes or assisted living facilities

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
