LIBERTY Dental Plan is seeking an experienced Director of Claims to support our growing East Coast Operations.

Ideal Candidates will live in Florida, New York, or New Jersey, and will support East Coast Business hours.

The Director Claims is responsible for directing Claims Operations, ensuring that quality and compliance standards are being met and that the best possible service is being provided to our customers. Provides strategic leadership to the assigned market and National Claims Operations including long-term planning, technology strategy, and continuous improvement of operational efficiency.

Job Summary Details

  • Supervise the development of workflows and procedures; identify and pursue needs for process improvements, quality auditing measures and system enhancements.
  • Ability to successfully manage change and growth and adapt to multiple and changing priorities with sometimes concurrent deadlines.
  • Develop leadership and functional abilities of staff through coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of the team.
  • Formulate and implement processes required to support corporate vision, goals and client service.
  • Strive to improve service and efficiency. Develop new, improved, more accurate and efficient workflow processes.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor goals of production and accuracy for each job function.
  • Balance productivity/quality requirements.
  • Develop cost containment strategies to support the fiscal needs of the company.
  • Confer with company leadership to discuss goals and objectives, to review progress, and to determine the needs to support corporate strategy.
  • Prepare operation, productivity, and forecasting reports for management analysis.
  • Ensure we appropriately and timely respond to correspondence regarding complaints, audits, and inquiries that require management attention.
  • Keep current on state and federal regulatory issues, client requirements, and industry activity and trends.
  • Assist with various projects and initiatives.
  • Complete all necessary tasks associated with managing direct reports in a timely fashion (e.g. timecards, performance reviews, holding timely one-on-one or department meetings, etc.).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education / Experience

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 years' experience in a managerial capacity with a minimum of 5 years in a healthcare or dental plan operations role
  • Claims processing experience required, preferably in a dental environment
  • Knowledgeable of and experience with claims regulatory/compliance requirements (CMS, DOI, ERISA, NCCI, DMHC, HIPAA regulations)

Specific Skills & Knowledge(Please be prepared to Complete Online Skills Assessments as part of the Application process)

  • Broad knowledge of technology (Word, Excel, Outlook, Claims processing systems, etc.)
  • Strong leadership ability and staff management skills
  • Excellent decision making and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and heavy workload
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project management exposure with ability to create and implement plans successfully

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $99,306 - $135,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
