Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of the overall operations of the unit on a 24/7 basis. This includes the delivery of care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards as well as the management of & engagement of staff.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, three (3) years of clinical nursing experience with advanced training in oncology/palliative care, current RN license with eligibility to work in Missouri, current BLS and Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN)

Day to Day

• Interviews, hires, and evaluates the performance of staff
• Oversees the departmental budget; ensures fiscal responsibility meeting budget and productivity standards
• Promotes positive customer relations both within and outside of the unit
• Partners with Clinical Education on departmental training needs
• Serves on assigned committees or workgroups
• Acts as a resource to staff
• Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, Nurse Executive, and administrative team
• Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and perform under stressful situation
• Works as a Staff Nurse, as needed
• Special Projects as assigned
