Commercial Management- Design Build General Construction
An excellent commercial construction client of ours is actively seeking to add an experienced Estimator and / or Senior Estimator with strong experience in the local tristate area (PA / NJ / DE) to join the team.
Level of position is open depending on relevant industry / project experience. This role is responsible for securing profitable work through comprehensive estimates and excellent customer service, while effectively utilizing and contributing to the team’s success.

Sample responsibilities and experience :
- Ground Up, Renovation, Addition projects
- Projects include; Commercial, Higher Education, Institutional, Healthcare, Hospital, Corporate Office)
- Experience conducting quantity take-offs, proposals, bid work, meet with clients
- Build estimates based on an understanding of design, constructability, and sequencing of a project.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors
- Preparation and negotiation of bid packages
- Negotiating, drafting, and purchasing of subcontract agreements
- Creating estimating spreadsheets
- Development of budget estimates; defining project scope; value engineering; validating budget at construction document stage
- Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing.
- Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships.
- Prepare and present completed estimating packages to company executives and senior management.
- Follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards / probabilities.
- Must be able to complete accurate take-offs, and prepare scopes and schedules
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Qualifications :
- Approximately five (5) or more years of relevant commercial construction estimating experience
- Degree a plus but not required (Construction Management, Engineering, Business, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience in relevant industry estimating software a plus (Smart Bid, Red Team, Bluebeam Revu, Builder Trend, Procore, WinEst, TimberScan, On-Screen Takeoff, and P6 Primavera).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient.
