Construction Project Accountant - Prior/current construction accounting experience is required!Prestigious homebuilder located right outside the Wilmington, DE area is seeking an experienced Construction Controller to join their team!
The Construction Accountant will be the financial backbone of the company and will ensure all the projects run smoothly within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Project Cost Management: Meticulously track project expenses. This involves reviewing and approving bills from contractors, processing invoices and purchase orders, and ensuring everything aligns with the project budget.
- Financial Reporting and Budgeting: Create and maintain detailed budgets for construction projects, analyzing costs and identifying areas for potential savings. Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements and cash flow statements to keep project managers and senior management informed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to develop financial plans and provide financial insights that aid in informed decision-making. Will also collaborate with payroll and accounts payable/receivable departments.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and accounting standards. This may involve tasks like reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and reports, and developing internal accounting procedures.
