Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience supporting energy trading and risk management analytics and modeling with programming skills in SQL, Python, Alteryx, or SAS
- 4 years of experience as an energy market or credit risk analyst, financial analyst, or energy contracts administrator
- 4-year degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work products
- Knowledge of energy trading, market risk management, and commodity risk management principles and policies
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
- Review Market Participant risk management policies and interact with Members on matters related to their risk and risk management practices
- Perform quantitative energy market risk analysis and reporting
- Develop and administer a process to gather, review, discuss, store, and track market participant risk policies
- Analyze energy market exposure calculations and provide insights
- Develop a strong understanding of energy market trading products, market rules and processes, and implement solutions based on that understanding
- Compile, prepare, and analyze various statistical/analytical data, reports, studies, or projects
- Conduct quantitative financial impact analysis on market participant portfolios using models
- Perform market analysis and develop metrics to support risk assessment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand market rules and address market participant issues
