The Assistant Supervisor of Testing Services is a full-time benefited professional staff member who assists with the general operation and integrity of Testing Services, maintaining an academic, service-oriented atmosphere. This staff member must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment and discretion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cover the Testing Center when Supervisor is out of the office for any reason 25%
Assist the Supervisor in all exams by scheduling, setting up, and monitoring exam-takers while in session; uploading software, preparing the computers, checking students in, helping in various ways throughout the exam, and assisting in other areas as needed 25%
Assist in student worker training and monitor student workers' effectiveness; be involved in retraining as needed25%
Answer questions from students, faculty, and staff 10%
Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks. 5%
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's mission. 10%
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Student Workers QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Minimum Qualifications
A.A or B.S. /B.A. degree
Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other technology skills
Evidence of personal qualities, organizational ability, and teaching skills
Ability to relate well and communicate to administrators, faculty, students, fellow workers, and the public
Ability and desire to serve students needing extra help to succeed in college
Ability to multi-task, especially during busy times
Ability to have patience and good judgment dealing with varied situations
Interacts positively with others
Ability to work well under stress/pressure
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous office experience
