Position Summary
The Physical Therapist will work as part of an established multidisciplinary team, including other therapists, physicians, nursing staff and case managers to provide rehabilitation in a variety of settings. Treatments will be provided to patients in areas such as critical care, medical and surgical units and outpatient for rehabilitation needs ranging from cerebrovascular accidents to joint replacements.
Responsibilities
* Perform evaluations and establish treatment goals
* Utilize techniques and modalities necessary to provide competent physical therapy services
* Integrate physical therapy treatments with other aspects of patient care
* Document progress toward established goals utilizing the electronic medical record
* Assist with discharge planning and the education of patients and families
* Provide direction and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
* Eligible for or hold Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Ohio
* Follow the laws of the Ohio revised code for the practice of physical therapy
* Follow all policies and procedures
* Ensure personal performance reflects the LMHS mission, vision and standards of CARE
