The Opportunity
The Los Angeles office of LCW is seeking to hire a litigation associate to join its labor and employment practice. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of California with a minimum of 2 years of experience in employment matters, including wage and hour, PAGA, and FSLA. Prior employment litigation experience is required.
This role involves extensive client contact and the primary responsibilities include conducting substantive witness interviews, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, regularly appearing and defending motions in court, case management, in addition to drafting of dispositive motions, including demurrers, anti-SLAPP, motions for judgment and motions for summary judgement. Trial, mediation, or other dispute resolution processes experience is preferred, but is not required. Experience in the public sector is a plus.
