Summary/Objective
This role is responsible for leading and managing the Creative Video portion of the Communications Department in creating video across all campuses and Life Center ministries and endeavors through creative storytelling, marketing, and broadcasting information. The Creative Video Director is responsible for producing creative video that captures the customer’s vision.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Creative Video Director supervises members of the Communications Team working within Creative Video, including employees, contractors, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Creative Video portion of the Communications Department including recruiting, hiring, development, and oversight of employees and volunteers.
  • Directs full gamut of large-scale creative video projects, including project management, direction, and production. This includes, but is not limited to capturing the client’s vision, shooting, directing, overseeing logistics, and editing final product.
  • Contributes creative ideas and strategies to the Communications Team and collaborates with all relevant teams to capture and promote Life Center ministries.
  • Shoots and edits video footage for weekend gatherings, ministry/campus needs, productions, and special events. May include delegating and overseeing some elements of video production to other Communications team members.
  • Responsible for quality control and approving all video content for Weekend Gatherings for review by Communications Director and Reach Wide Pastor.
  • Manages budget specific to Creative Video contractors, supplies, and rentals. Negotiates third-party contracts as needed.
  • Manages use of Studio space to service other departments / ministries. Routinely collaborates with Media Team and Online Campus Pastor in Studio use and maintenance.
  • Ensures proper use and maintenance of video hardware and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots problems with video equipment. Provides small repairs or coordinates repairs with third-party vendors.
  • Develops standard operating procedures for the Creative Video portion of the Communications Department.
  • Maintains awareness of Organization’s safety policies and procedures as well as basic employment law. Ensures that Creative Video employees, contractors, and volunteers comply with the same.
  • Able to perform all tasks delegated to the Creative Video portion of the Communications Team.
  • Travel may be required to identify, secure, prepare, and execute projects.
  • Other relevant duties as necessary and assigned.

Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Associate degree, technical certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years in video filming and production.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in basic graphic design and editing.
  • Experience working within a church or nonprofit ministry is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting (or standing) at a desk/computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Standing or moving for prolonged periods during ministry activities.
  • Standing, bending, stooping, and crouching as necessary to capture shots and direct shoots.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at times.

Work Environment and Travel

  • This job operates in a professional office and ministry environment.
  • The primary campus location for this role: Central
  • Position is a full time in person position and may allow for remote work as designed and approved by supervisor.
  • Local travel may be required occasionally for All Staff Meetings.

Hours and Schedule
Full time: 38-40 hours per week, which includes:

  • Monday – Friday, primarily during the hours of 8:30am – 5:30pm.
  • Other evening and weekend work may be necessary pertaining to ministry’s needs and events.
  • Attendance at the following staff meetings is required for this role: Annual Reset, Annual Meeting, All Staff Trainings, recurring meetings as required, and additional meetings as requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.50 - $33.00 per hour
