Position Details:
- Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly
- Part-Time, Non-Exempt
- 20-25 hours per week
- Fully Onsite Position in Bellevue, NE
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the campus community receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every patient and intern, maintaining high standards of professionalism, owning solid knowledge of chiropractic and all other components of Life Chiropractic College West.
- Accurately and efficiently complete all transactions and maintain proper cash and other tenders at transaction areas
- Assist patients and interns in scheduling new and recurring appointments, as well as rescheduling appointments
- Receive, verify and process new patient forms in person and online, ensuring completeness of all documentation according to policy
- Assist with the new patient intake process & effectively communicate all paperwork including fee schedules to new patients
- Post payments from patients and balance ledgers when necessary. Reconcile cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.
- Data entry on various software platforms
- Answer all incoming telephone calls in a friendly, patient, efficient manner with a pleasant, professional disposition
- Maintain the cleanliness, neatness, and organization of the Health Center, while managing office supplies & maintaining clinic forms
- General office responsibilities include but are not limited to filing, data entry, making photocopies, scanning documents, and distributing mail
- Maintain and retrieve active/inactive patient/students files and x-rays while upholding patient confidence & confidentiality
- File documentation including but not limited to patient/student DACBR reports
- Create / maintain files for CIL or other educational courses
- Abide by HIPAA laws regarding confidential patient information and FERPA laws regarding confidential student information
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- 2 years of experience in cashiering, customer service, and/or billing
- 1 years in a chiropractic or office setting is preferred
- Familiar with HIPAA regulations
- Proficient knowledge of general office equipment such as phones, computers, software platforms, and G-Suite (Gmail, Google docs and Google sheets in particular) and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures, and best practices related to this position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to the campus community
- Ability to learn basic financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices; make mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy; and maintain files and records
- Ability to learn medical and insurance billing software, as well as Electronic Health Records (EHR) Chiro-Touch software
- Ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality, sensitivity, and compassion in conversations and interactions
