Life.Church is Hiring a Budget Manager Near Edmond, OK

The Budget Manager is primarily responsible for facilitating and overseeing the organization-wide budgeting processes. This role guides each Campus and Central team to ensure the optimal and responsible stewardship of resources. The Budget Manager provides budget-related reporting and variance reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accurate financial oversight and accountability. This role supports the team’s direction, initiatives, and ministry efforts to achieve outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

The Finance Team partners with the organization to facilitate the financial reporting needs of Life.Church, including payroll, accounts payable, giving operations, accounting, forecasting, and data analytics. We equip the organization with the tools needed to plan for, understand, and steward the resources God has provided for our ministry.

What You’ll Do

  • Communicate key budget dates and resources to all Central and Campus budget owners on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as a resource for any budget-related inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Facilitate reconciliations of operating budgets in the budgeting and accounting systems.
  • Lead through the budget revision process.
  • Lead monthly statement of activity analysis along with other financial statement analysis.
  • Communicate with various teams to understand and explain budget variances.
  • Act as a budget software administrator, ensuring the organization is aware of system usage and updates.
Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions and problem-solve with innovation.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 -3 years of related work experience.
