The Mail and Shipping Clerk handles all aspects of the mail and shipping process, as well as USPS mail services for the University.

This position is responsible for receiving and processing all inbound and outbound mail, packages, and shipments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Receives shipments from all carriers (FedEx, UPS, freight, etc.) and scans into the package tracking system and / or the Electronic Parcel lockers for customer pickup or delivery.
• Sorts incoming USPS mail and loads into designated mail slots. Delivers mail and packages to individual campus departments as needed.
• Monitors postage meter funds and notifies Mail Services & Inventory Supervisor.
• Assist in stock management.
• Answer the phones and inquiries related to customer issues.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

converts requisitions to purchase orders and places order accordingly. Prepares stock and equipment requisitions as needed

• When needed, submits invoices for payment by verifying receipt of product and comparing quoted pricing to PO amounts.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training and / or Experience

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Ability to gain proficiency in assorted package tracking software products and platforms
