We are currently seeking caring and compassionate Group Home Paraprofessionals to join our Charlotte client’s team. As a Group Home Paraprofessional, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health diagnosis in a group home setting. This position requires availability for overnight shifts, weekend work and day shift ( afternoons and some morning shifts). The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience, certifications, and a solid commitment to improving the lives of individuals with mental health diagnosis.
What You Will Do:-
1. Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with mental health diagnosis
2. Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.-
3. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
4. Engage residents in recreational and social activities.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of residents' progress and any incidents that occur during shifts.
6. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive living environment.
7. Schedule: 3pm to 11pm or 11pm - 8am weekdays, weekends 8am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 8am or 8am to 8pm, 8pm to 8am.
8. High School diploma or equivalent.- Proficient reading and writing skills in English.- Clear background check for abuse and the sex offender registry.
9. Ability to lift or support approximately 75 lbs with or without assistance.- Physical abilities to stoop, bend, and reach overhead.
10. Ability to stand for extended periods of time (full-time, part- time & PRN positions).Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
