LifeSource is Hiring a Clinical Supply Inventory and Sterilization Coordinator Near Minneapolis, MN

DescriptionLifeSource is seeking a Clinical Supply Inventory and Sterilization Coordinator to own all major aspects and logistics of organ, eye, and tissue supply and materials acquisition, including ordering, receiving, creating, and maintaining par levels and inventory counts for our clinical spaces.
As a Clinical Supply Inventory and Sterilization Coordinator, you'll advance our lifesaving mission by performing the following duties:
  • Execute clinical supply ordering, receiving, and stocking to ensure par levels and inventory counts support efficient 24/7 organ, eye and tissue donation operations according to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sterilization and preventive maintenance of equipment, instruments, supplies and clinical spaces while adhering to multiple regulatory partners
  • Provide general support for other clinical space operations, purchasing and supply services ensuring continuity of services from the department to the organization
  • Participate in creating and providing required reports, assist with invoicing and purchasing activities, and maintain oversight of the physical state of supply and materials holding areas
  • Assisting with the intake and release of deceased donors for tissue recovery

Position Requirements
Qualifications
  • Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to 4 years of medical/surgical environmental health and safety, purchasing, or inventory control responsibilities.
  • Previous experience or education with sterilization principles and practices preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver license and have reliable personal automobile to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Able to travel within the service area (MN, ND, SD) by ground or air.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service, establishing rapport, and working relationships with peers, customers, and vendors.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven self-directed, motivated contributor with a strong initiative and ability to function autonomously, establish priorities and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, personal team member data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information and medical or protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven skilled and competent in using technology-based tools such as personal computers and related software, mobile devices, and electronic medical record systems, as appropriate for position.
Schedule and Working Conditions
  • Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
  • Ability to push/pull up to 150 pounds with assistance and frequently lift objects up to 70 pounds, carrying short distances.Heavier objects should be lifted and transferred using team help.
  • Perform repetitive motion duties, transferring objects short distances, frequently changing from sit, stand, bend, reach actions, moving about the facility.
  • Environmental influences may include unpleasant odors, slippery surfaces, work in operating rooms/morgues at hospitals/funeral homes/medical examiners offices, temperature variations, exposure to human tissue and associated hazards and biohazards.
  • Affected team member in Category I are regularly exposed to bloodborne pathogens and have a potential for this exposure or handle materials that could spread infection (one or more potential opportunities per month). Additionally, they have regular interaction with staff in patient or donor areas in a hospital or clinic setting while performing their assigned job duties.
  • Must be able to follow and successfully complete category immunization, health screening and background check requirements.
