Job Title: Group Global Financial Controller

Location: New York, NY (Hudson Yards)

Department: Finance

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Type: Full-Time; Hybrid - remote 2-3 days

The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $200,000 to $265,000 – plus bonus.

We take into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Global Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with minimum 10 years of relevant international experience. International experience is a must.

He / She will ensure accurate financial reporting, correct Tax calculation and will lead strategic projects in tax and Transfer Price model and develop strategies to enhance financial processes and performance.

The Group Global Financial Controller will play a critical role in providing financial guidance and support to senior management and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

KeyResponsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports for the group under US GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Manage and coordinate the financial forecasting and budgeting processes in the respective areas.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets.
  • Manage financial risk by developing strategies to mitigate potential financial risks.

Audit and Internal Audit (IA):

Manage external and internal audit processes.

  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address audit findings promptly.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position
  • Manage and review transfer pricing policies and documentation.

Treasury and Cash Management:

  • Manage the group’s treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
  • Optimize the group’s capital structure and funding strategies
  • Oversee the management of the company’s loan portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with loan agreements and covenants.

Financial Calendar Management:

  • Develop and manage the financial calendar to ensure timely reporting and compliance with financial deadlines.
  • Coordinate financial activities across different departments and entities.

Global Process Owner (GPO):

  • Act as the Global Process Owner for financial processes, ensuring standardization and efficiency across all operations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure best practices are implemented globally.

Insurance Global:

  • Oversee the management of global insurance programs.
  • Ensure adequate coverage and risk management across all operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Promote a collaborative, transparent and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, ACCA.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management within a group or multi-entity international organization.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
