LifeWorks Wellness Center is looking for a Phlebotomist & Lab Technician to join our growing team. Our clinic is expanding at a rapid rate and so is our team!

People travel from all over the world to see our doctors and receive our lifesaving holistic treatment programs.

The Phlebotomist & Lab Technician works directly with patients within the clinic to perform phlebotomy and collect samples for further analysis as per the Doctor's prescribed orders.

Job Duties:

• Maintain equipment and gather necessary materials
• Perform aseptic technique and follow all health and safety protocols and procedures
• Prepare patients before administering blood draws or lab tests
• Explain all procedures to patients, answering any questions they may have
• Perform blood draws and lab tests on each patient as instructed by the Physician, helping nervous or frightened patients to remain calm during the process
• Verify patient information and properly label samples
• Update patient information accurately in the EMR system
• Manage schedule to ensure no scheduling conflicts.

Education and/or Experience:

• Graduate of Highschool/GED or equivalent
• 2 years of experience working as a Phlebotomist & Lab Technician
• Familiarity of medical terminology.
• Must love to help people.
• Demonstrate patience with people who are ill. Must be very compassionate
• Superior communication and patient service skills

Language Skills:

• Must speak English. Any other language is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, must be able to stand for periods up to 7 hours at a time caring for patients and assisting the doctor.

Hours:

• This is a full-time hourly position with a 37.5 hour work week in the office, Monday-Friday.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
