Job Description SummaryThis position is responsible for the overall CNC equipment performance including troubleshooting equipment issues, creating optimal programming and fixturing for existing and new product, providing support for all shifts as needed. An individual must be self-directed with strong organizational and communication skills to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Safely perform a wide range of basic and complex CNC machine tasks including, but not limited to, evaluations to troubleshoot issues and provide assistance with breakdowns as needed
  • Safely and independently set-up and operate all equipment being programed to quality standards as needed
  • Serve as primary support to operations and maintenance for all programming and/or fixture related issues on existing product and new program development for new product
  • Optimize cycle times and tooling usage through continuous improvements to existing programs
  • Perform all other job related duties as assigned by the area-manufacturing manager.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactory, safely and in alignment with Lift Tek’s core values and policies. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Education/Certifications/ExperienceRequired:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of multi axis programming with primary expertise in manufacturing.
Preferred
  • Associate or equivalent Technical Degree in Programming.
  • Bachelor Degree in related field.
Skills And Ability
  • Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics to develop CNC Machining programs and fixtures for optimal quality and efficiency.
  • Knowledge on various precision CNC Machinery, principles, fabrication and machining practices.
  • Ability to set up, operate, maintain and trouble shoot day to day machining and equipment issues for CNC Machines.
  • Ability to use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Ability to collect/analyze statistical data and calculate optimum spindle speed and feed rates for specific machine functions and various types of product for manufacturing efficiency.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills to included Document Retrieval and Microsoft Outlook applications.
  • Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the job through working required work schedule including overtime as conditions deem necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with strong organization skills that achieve goals through realistic planning, time management, workday structure and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to effectively provide instructions, listen to feedback and evaluate transfer of knowledge for training departmental employees.

Working ConditionsWork is performed in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This is a full time hourly position that supports the two Westminster facilities. Flexibility in work schedule is required in order to support all shifts when needed. Mandatory overtime may be required for the individual to work more than 10 consecutive hours at a time and/or more than 40 hours in a seven-day period as business conditions deem necessary. Travel is limited to job related training as needed.
Physical RequirementsLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform the essential functions of this position.
