Lincoln Health System is Hiring an Ultrasound Tech Near Fayetteville, TN

Position Details:

  • PRN (as needed)
  • Sunday - Saturday
  • Day/Night Shift

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate accredited ultrasound program preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration:

  • Require ARDMS registered
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

  • Six months to one year clinical experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing task frequently and quickly.
  • Must be willing to learn vascular ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Maintains current knowledge of TJC standards and CMS and assists department with meeting those requirements.
  • Assists in the clinical and/or didactics for the Ultrasound students.
  • Uses two patient identifiers excluding patient room number
  • Transports patients, using proper techniques as needed.
  • Become proficient with hospital and department clinical information systems by QC'ing all images, completing exams and patient history.
  • Abides by the HH Lincoln Health and Imaging Services Policy and Procedures. (i.e.: time and attendance and smoking policy.)
  • Takes ownership in the departmental staffing process by being willing to work flexible hours, overtime, call, Holidays, weekends, and occasionally unscheduled shifts.
  • Performs a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
  • Prepares medication per each Physicians orders and labels all solutions/medications as required by TJC.
  • Practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
  • Must follow equipment handling guidelines.
  • Must keep all equipment in good working order and use it appropriately.
  • Clean equipment as outlined in the cleaning policy for Imaging Services.
  • Ensures the Imaging Department is ready at all times for TJC,CMS inspection or risk mapping.
  • Practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
  • Transports patients to/from the floor if needed.
  • Manages time wisely to ensure productivity and completion of work related tasks.
  • Maintains HH Lincoln Health “education/learning” requirements for position held.
  • Other duties as assigned.
