Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is Hiring an Accounting Clerk Near Cambridge, MA

Position OverviewAs a member of the Finance Department, you will be responsible to support operational aspects such as credit card reconciliation, assist accounts payable processing, provide processing back-up, and participate in monthly/yearly closing.
This is a full-time position in Cambridge, MA, at 37.5 hours/week reporting to the Controller.
What You’ll Do
  • Reconcile corporate credit card accounts, analyze variances, and prepare reports within the financial software (FE NXT)
  • Verify and post details about credit card transactions to ledgers and databases
  • Serve as a resource for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Secure financial and personal information by maintaining strict confidentiality and following company policies
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts
  • Assist with year-end audit requests
  • Perform routine clerical duties.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent five years’ work experience in a related capacity.
  • Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles.
  • Strong writing, communications, and interpersonal skills, including cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task and complete tasks on deadline.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
