Our client, a Houston area law firm, is looking to hire an Oil & Gas Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team. Ideal candidate should have a 4 year degree and desire to work for attorneys in a law firm setting OR have at least 4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant supporting Oil & Gas attorneys in a legal setting.
Responsibilities:

Draft correspondence and legal documents as requested
Schedule appointments and maintain a detailed calendar
Prepare weekly project list for practice area attorneys
Maintain and organize electronic case files
Able to locate documents and information when requested

Perform Secretary of State and Texas Comptroller searches and prepare and file entity documents
Record documents with County Clerks via hard copy and online e-filing services
Establish relationships with registered agent and corporate compliance companies
Work with family members and employees of UHNW clients in connection with various needs and requests
Send monthly bills to clients and correspond regarding the same
Enter daily time using Juris Suite
Draft initial documents for attorney review
Perform conflict of interest checks, circulate new business memoranda and prepare engagement letters
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of law firm experience supporting Oil & Gas attorneys
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
