Location: Minnesota
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the production of construction documents, ensuring the application of structural engineering principles.
- Perform accurate and complete structural analysis of framing and foundations. Generate structural calculations and utilize 2D and 3D analysis software where appropriate.
- Assist with project construction administration. Respond to contractor questions and RFI's, review structural shop drawings, and assist with site observations.
- Possess a basic understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering construction practices.
- Coordinate design and construction with both internal and external stakeholders, providing technical support and work direction as needed.
- 3-5 years' experience in structural engineering.
- Graduate from an accredited Civil Engineering Program with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction.
- Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design is required; a Master's degree in structural engineering is a plus. PE registration is preferred.
