POSITION: Clinical Supervisor

PROGRAM: SBS-Alameda

SALARY: $93,600

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the School-Based Services Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical services provided in public school settings. This involves the clinical supervision of school-based therapists in the delivery of a quality clinical program within a school-based mental health setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with hiring, supervising and evaluating clinicians and trainees in the program.
  • Participate in and directly observe clinical and case management delivery of services through regular and frequent interface with program staff.
  • Ensure supervisee compliance with clinical and case management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes for clinical and case management functions and services.
  • Provide clinical supervision for clinicians as assigned, including weekly individual and group supervision meetings, ensuring adherence to clinical documentation protocols and providing crisis support when needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that clinical and case management practices and policies are implemented within a family friendly and partnership context.
  • Participate in intake process to train clinicians and ensure thorough assessment.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving clinical documentation including mental health notes, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate and conduct external and internal utilization reviews related to chart compliance, quality and appropriateness of clinical and case management services.
  • Consult with schools to promote trauma-informed care, ensure strong partnership, and reinforce streamlined referral process.
  • Contribute to designing and implementing a clinical training program for clinicians and trainees.
  • Participate in summer program oversight, planning, and implementation.
  • Provide direct clinical services as programmatically needed.
  • Requires regular driving to conduct meetings at schools or other sites. (Lincoln requires employees driving on agency business to have valid CA driver license, personal automobile insurance and satisfactory driving record.)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have ability to work collaboratively with members of inter-disciplinary teams, provide ongoing clinical consultation to assigned staff, seek out internal consultative resources as appropriate, and exhibit autonomous decision-making. Demonstrated awareness and practice of cultural humility in working effectively with broad diversity of client population. Knowledge of attachment-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches as well as knowledge of provider systems. Expected to uphold Lincoln’s mission, values and principles of care at all times and maintain/promote consumer perspective with participants.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • LCSW or MFT, licensed in California for at least two years, plus four years of clinical experience.
  • Supervisory experience highly desirable.
  • Experience working in individual, group and family therapy methods.
  • Experience working in school-based programs preferred.
  • Experience with Medi-Cal documents and requirements.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal services.
