Linear Manufacturing is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Colorado, CO

Description:

The Final Inspector is responsible for maintaining customer quality standards on all products produced by the company. They are also responsible for supporting the quality team and establishing and monitoring quality activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Automated Optical and Visual inspections.
  • Read and interpret customer assembly drawings, product specific documentation and work instructions
  • Assist customer with quality issues. Prepare corrective actions reports (CARS)
  • Understand Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls
  • Perform first article inspections and prepare first article reports
  • Assist in responding to production issues when required
  • Able to trouble shoot and communicate quality (internal and external) problems
  • Proficiently use measurement and inspection equipment (microscopes, calipers, multi-meters, ohm meters)
  • Interface with manufacturing to optimize cost and productivity. Participate in process improvement efforts.
  • Develop and conduct quality training programs. Prepare and maintain the necessary records and reports
  • Develop and manage repair depot program.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing and customer
  • Conduct and manage internal product/process/compliance audits in accordance to ISO and IPC 610 standards
  • Complete and analyze data to identify trends and facilitate improvement actions.
  • Create and maintain metrics for quality reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar to.
  • Intermediate skill/capability to operate within ERP system.
  • 5 years of contract manufacturing quality experience
  • Excellent and proven working knowledge of Knowledgeable of IPC 610 Class 2, Class 3, as well as ISO standards and AS- 9100
  • Intermediate skill/capability to work in Microsoft Excel
  • Understand capacity analysis, efficiency, and time standards
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills internally and externally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions written or spoken. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with managers, supervisors, and other employees of Linear Manufacturing. Ability to read, practice, and enforce departmental procedures and work instructions. Basic ability to comprehend blueprints, diagrams, and pictorial presentations and any other aids for assembly prepared by the engineering department.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply effective reasons to the task when carrying out instructions. Effectively recognized situations when managers knowledge and awareness is necessary. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and occasionally required to walk short distances. The employee is required to perform standard clerical duties and must possess the manual dexterity to perform these duties, including, but not limited to handling, reaching, and grasping. The employee must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time, including typing and viewing a computer monitor. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. MSDS’s for all chemicals are readily available on site. The noise level in the work environments is moderate.
