Summary Of PositionResponsible for daily 3rd Shift production activities of Building 500 (DFG), & Anodize
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.
- Directly supervise production staff. Lead, facilitate, train and mentor team members in all aspects of performance. Key focus in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-Time Complete, and Continuous Improvement.
- Monitor and manage resources needs, labor usage and overtime expenses.
- Proactive improvement of processes and procedures to maximize capacity, results of key metrics and customer satisfaction. Encourage team involvement in improvement initiatives.
- Maintain positive communications with a variety of other departments and shifts.
- Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean application in company operations. Write standard operating procedures and work instructions for key processes.
- Train production employees on all SOP’s and Work Instructions and log into document management/training system
- Adhere to established company and corporate policies, national and state laws, and business procedures.
- Set clear performance expectations for team members. Perform employee disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and investigate adverse issues.
- Drive team to achieve greater results in key business.
- Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications in company operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory of parts/materials needed for production.
- Two- or four-year degree, or equivalent manufacturing work experience required
- Thorough understanding and commitment to process improvement and the priorities of safety, quality productivity, and continuous improvement
- Computer proficiency needed (Word, Excel, Outlook, Performance Management System). Organized with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with teambuilding and continuous improvement practices
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus
- Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
- Light –light industrial. Required to sit or stand and move about the facility
- Occasional lifting required
