LINK Staffing Services has partnered with our nationally well-known client to fill immediately available production roles. You will be joining a team-centered environment where openness, transparency and accountability are encouraged at all levels. Our client is a multi-national company servicing the oil and gas industry in the Houston area. They are an established organization which designs and manufactures some of the most reliable completions technology solutions in the industry.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inventory movements (pick/pack, ship scrap tickets, etc.)
• Qualified to operate a forklift (certified).
• Interpretation of packing slips and bills of lading.
• Count, sort, and label inventory items.
• Move material to and from designated areas.
• Identify shipment dimensions with tape measure.
• Secure loads for transport via truck.
• Interpret maps and directions.
• Intermediate operation of department related software.
• Basic knowledge of setting tools.
• Base level understanding of prints.
• Utilize basic part inspection equipment such as gauges and calipers.
• Refurbish returned setting kits/tools.
• Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Two plus years of warehouse/manufacturing management experience is required.
• General oilfield completion background/services/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of fracking, coil tubing, and/or wireline is preferred.
• Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or at-fault accidents within the last three years.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, MRP system, and company’s sales software.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Fishbowl is preferred.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail.
• Ability to liaise professionally with team members and system users.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Shipping Receiving associate is required:
• Lift a minimum of 50lbs, repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.
• Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
• Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
