The primary responsibility of the Environmental Safety and Quality Technician is to support quality assurance and quality control and safety programs (IIPP & SHP) for the organization by developing and maintaining the safety and quality management systems. Knowledge of industry and production processes typically acquired through 1 years of quality or safety experience in a manufacturing setting with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and concepts easily (paper printing or corrugated manufacturing is a plus.)

• Supporting Quality and Compliance Manager, integrate and collaborate with key operations and support stakeholders to maintain a safe and hazard free work environment and ensure safety and quality procedures are being followed, such as machine-center processes on the operations floor and the customer complaints processes.
• Assist the development and maintenance of the safety and quality management systems based on ISO 9001, AIB, OSHA, FSC/SFI and other pertinent regulations.
• Provides technical support to the internal corrective action/material review board process, including monitoring of non-conformance reports and returns for goods, to facilitating product flow of quality-reviewable products, to collaborating with department leaders to investigate quality issues, to assisting as needed with root cause identification and corrective actions
• Collaborate with department leadership to develop, validate, and update standard operating procedures and conduct safety and quality-related training as required.
• Serve as a key focal point for internal and external audits, including areas such as coordinating pre/post-audit leadership meetings for preparation/lesson learned, to leading presentations and discussions with internal/external customers and documenting key findings.
• Data entry and tracking for continuous improvement projects as required.
• Sending and filing compliance certifications as required.
