Job Description

LinkedIn's Research Programs team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to help build, manage, and scale our global market research programs. This team plays a critical role in supporting product and GTM strategies, by providing valuable insights about our members and customers through large-scale primary research programs. These programs include quick turn agile qual and quant research and supporting our in-product surveying. The role will be responsible for both scoping and delivering individual projects, as well as thinking about how to deliver research efficiently and at scale. This person will work cross functionally to ensure leverage for the program and that insights are used to inform business decisions. A successful candidate will have strong research skills, be curious and creative, and have an eye for operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Be the SME on research, assigned research program, internal research tools, and research methodologies.
  • Establish research program roadmaps, standards, documentation, workflows, roles and responsibilities, and success metrics to ensure success and impact of assigned programs.
  • Continually innovate, iterate, and take intelligent risks to design and implement program improvements, identify new program opportunities or potential net new research programs.
  • Build strong relationships with research operations, market research, vendors, and other cross-functional partners to create scale and drive value for the program
  • Work with partners to understand business needs and deliver research results that impact the business.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple research projects and internal program initiatives.
  • Connect the dots between research insights and internal teams who can benefit from them.
  • Evaluate research requests, consult on questionnaire design, and turn data into insights
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
  • 3 years of survey market research or analytics experience
  • 6 years of project/program management experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong research skills including experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as research execution (e.g. questionnaire design, sampling, data analysis etc.).
  • Ability to use research and behavioral data to develop insights to solve program and business challenges.
  • Technical skills for data analysis/manipulation (e.g. SQL, Python)
  • Familiarity with survey programming tools like Decipher, Qualtrics or Survey Monkey
  • Detail oriented, comfortable with diving deeply into processes, technical issues, and other details to gain an understanding required to thoughtfully recommend how to navigate issues as they arise.
  • Consultative, ability to get to the root of the problem and help craft solutions that address the issue.
  • Execution-driven, able to drive implementation of a solution and impact results.
  • Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity, an ability to independently make decisions with limited information and navigate conflicting priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to influence cross functional partners and senior leaders to drive program and business outcomes

The pay range for this role is $115,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
