Assistant Accounting Administrative Manager

Administration Department (Classification 031)

Classified Full Time Position (37.5 hours/week)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform moderately complex accounting functions with considerable independence. Manage accounts payable for entire Department including coding, reconciling statements/invoices. Maintain the accounts payable, personnel costs, and revenue ledger. Responsible for inventory for all Health Services’ departments. Prepare forms to add or delete items from inventory. Perform physical inventory for Public Health Programs biennially. Works with employee records with accuracy and the ability to keep strict confidentiality. Provides administrative support to Health Services Administration team with a focus on financial accounting for the Department of Health Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in business administration, accounting, health administration or related field is preferred. Four years of progressively responsible bookkeeping/accounting or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Proficient and demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office products, standard accounting computer software, with extensive knowledge of Excel and Databases, and standard office equipment. Ability to keep records and prepare reports and analytical findings; ability to perform complex assignments with minimal supervision; ability to evaluate data and to prepare clear and concise reports; ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees and with the public. Proficient with organization skills and attention to detail is required.
