Linn Manor Care Center is Hiring a Nursing Home Administrator Near Marion, IA

Must have current Nursing Home Administrator’s License issued by the state of Iowa. Works with Management team to oversee the total operation of the facility, establish and implement budgets, initiates planning, organization, direction and control over all material resources of the facility. Functions independently with extensive autonomy, within the constraints of policy and procedure as established by the Board of Directors.QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training, Experience and Abilities Current Nursing Home Administrator’s License issued by the state of Iowa New graduates encouraged to apply 21 years of age or older Ability to make independent decisions Thorough knowledge of city/state/federal regulations relating to long-term care including Medicare and Medicaid Be familiar with nursing and medical terminology and procedures Demonstrate skills in working with the elderly in long-term care Demonstrate fiscal and human resource management skills Demonstrate an understanding of business finances with the ability to interpret financial reports Demonstrate knowledge about Public Relations, Communications and Marketing. High level of literacy in written and spoken English Good moral character Good mental and physical healthRESPONSIBILITIES: Keep abreast of changes in rules and regulations and trends in the long-term care industry Establishes and maintains operations of the facility Meets with Department Heads as needed to discuss department needs and issues Conducts or supervises in-service training for supervisory personnel Directs, coordinates and supervises all activities of the facility Reviews compliance with all city/state/federal laws and rules for the facility Reviews compliance with established policies by employees of the facility Supervises maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment Works closely with the Office Manager to ensure all departments are operating within the established budget Sets the tonality of employee morale and the working atmosphere at the facility Implements and supports the facilities philosophy (Christian Care Every Day) as directed by the Board of Directors Interprets department policies and procedures to all facility employees Represents the facility in outside the building activities or designates a representative to do the same Maintains working relationships with local hospitals, assisted living centers and other health facilities Maintains confidentiality of residents, employees and facility information Assists in preparing Job Descriptions and Policy and Procedure manuals Meets with the Board of Directors bi-monthly or as directedSalary negotiableHealth Benefits: medical, vision, dental401k available with 3% matchBenefits:401k and matchingHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off
