LinQuest Corporation is Hiring a RF Spectrum Subject Matter Expert Near Colorado, CO

LinQuest is seeking a Radio Frequency Spectrum Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support support the Headquarters Space Operations Command Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Directorate located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

An active TS//SCI clearance is REQUIRED to be considered for this position.

The BMC3 Directorate supports the Commander of Space Force Forces (COMSPACEFOR) by ensuring BMC3 considerations are integrated with Combatant Command plans and directives. It also serves as a Super Mission Area Team ensuring enterprise-wide integration and delivery of BMC3 capabilities across all Deltas with one of their focus areas being elements supporting the Nation’s NC3 and ITW/AA capability.

A strong candidate has experience with providing spectrum analysis technical expertise and recommendations. In this position, you will:

  • Develop spectrum certification packages in coordination with program offices, manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations.
  • Analyze Radio Frequency Allocation (RFAs) and RFA proposals submitted by subordinate organizations.
  • Prepare packages requesting temporary frequency licenses to support specific testing and training events and/or exercises.
  • Ensure spectrum-dependent systems maintain their ability to operate without interference.
  • Provide spectrum engineering and management support for technical and regulatory issues associated with systems and networks managed and/or operated by HQ SpOC, including spectrum transition requirements and activities associated with the auction of government spectrum to commercial services, spectrum engineering and regulatory decisions associated with the implementation of command operations.
  • Work with the Air Force Spectrum Management Office (AFSMO), DoD CIO, and other agencies to identify USSF and HQ STARCOM equities, impacts to, and mitigation strategies in proposed bands of interest for federal auctions.
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • An active TS//SCI clearance is required for this position.
  • 3 years of spectrum management experience
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations
  • Accustomed to professionally working with internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course or equivalent
  • Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) or Task Management Tool (TMT) proficiency
  • National Telecommunications Information Administration Federal Spectrum Management Course
  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager’s Course
  • Electromagnetic spectrum management and/or relevant operational experience within the Department of Defense (i.e, within the US Army or US Air Force)
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, STARCOM or equivalent
  • BA/BS degree

Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $110,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
