The Quality Engineer I will perform a variety of engineering work in planning and design of tools, equipment, machinery, and processes. They will also implement changes, alterations, modifications and repair based on engineering project requests. They will perform process validations and qualify vendors, suppliers, and components. This is an onsite role in Memphis, TN. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Under immediate supervision implement changes, alterations, modifications and repair based on engineering project requests, etc. Perform a variety of engineering work in the planning and design of tools, equipment, processes, machinery, facilities, etc. and oversee the installation, operating, maintenance, etc. of such work in accordance with company policies, procedures, applicable laws, regulations. Perform process validation and qualify vendors, suppliers, components, items, parts, etc. Interface with inside and outside contacts to complete assignments, resolve problems. Make reports, maintain files, lists, logs, etc. and complete assignments, resolve problems. Perform other related functions as required by management. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 0-3 years of experience in medical or mechanical production, test, or inspection Ability for frequent sitting, walking, and standing Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. safely Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of problem solving and quality improvement tools and techniques High level of analytical and problem-solving skills The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
