Summary:This position is primarily responsible for developing, refining, and communicating the engineering and operating data needed to produce billets and finished products., and techniques used in the melting, refining, and casting of molten steel or modern rolling practices.
Key Responsibilities:This position reports to the department superintendent or General Supervisor of Operations or Maintenance.
There are no employees reporting directly to this position, the incumbent does provide advisory and training responsibilities for other exempt and hourly production and maintenance employees.
Must have basic knowledge of metallurgy and an understanding of steel manufacturing.

Qualifications:Ability and knowledge as may be demonstrated.
Completed diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering curriculum.
3 to 5 years of related work experience.

Strong inter-personal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
