Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst with expertise in Life insurance and SQL to join our IT/Business Analysis team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Life insurance operations, proficient SQL skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Business Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to health insurance processes and systems.

· Data Analysis and SQL: Utilize SQL to perform data extraction, analysis, and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for decision-making.

· Technical Solutions: Work closely with development teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.

· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in health insurance operations and develop strategies to enhance workflow and productivity.

· System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of new systems and enhancements with existing health insurance platforms.

· Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, and use cases to support project development and implementation.

· Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate that technical solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Life insurance Management, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Life insurance.

· Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases, data analysis, and report generation.

· Deep understanding of health insurance processes, regulations, and industry standards.

· Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and developing functional specifications.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

· Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

· Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) 

· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

· Knowledge of health insurance claims processing and adjudication.

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
