Lipscomb University is Hiring an Admissions Recruiter, School of Nursing Near Nashville, TN

The Full-Time Admissions Recruiter for the School of Nursing will be responsible for planning and executing recruiting and admissions strategies for all programming within the School of Nursing. The admissions recruiter will exercise timely, relevant, clear, and enthusiastic communication to enhance the experience for potential and actual student candidates. 

Required minimum qualifications:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree highly preferred
  • If BSN, must have an unencumbered Registered Nursing license (active or inactive)
  • Experience in recruitment and/or marketing highly preferred
  • Effective, clear, and efficient oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in teams

Responsibilities/Functions:

1. Facilitate Outreach & Recruitment

  • Create nourishing and inviting virtual and physical environments for potential student candidates and guests
  • Plan and execute strategic opportunities for interactions with potential student candidates in the community and beyond
  • Collaborate regularly with University Marketing, Public Relations, and Admissions teams and the School of Nursing to ensure accurate, efficient, and appropriate distribution of information
  • Actively and enthusiastically participate in Lipscomb University Fridays
  • Actively and enthusiastically share programmatic information with potential student candidates virtually, via phone, and face-to-face
  • Ensure efficient and effective follow-up communication with potential student candidates
  • Distribute accurate and most up-to-date programmatic information with the appropriate target market
  • Cultivate and maintain a vibrant social media presence for the School of Nursing in close collaboration with the University Marketing and Public Relations teams
  • Generate timely, relevant, clear, enthusiastic, and esthetically-appealing digital communication via various social media outlets
  • Collaborate with LUSON faculty, staff, administration, and students regularly to generate new, exciting content for social media outreach and recruitment

2. Facilitate & Maintain Community Relationships

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with area high schools, community colleges, universities, and health care organizations
  • Attend and actively participate in community events on campus and with area schools and organizations

3. Develop & Maintain Recruiting Systems and Processes

  • Utilize current and future database systems to track inquiries, applications, acceptances, enrollment, etc. in close communication with the University Admissions team
  • Assist student candidates with successful completion of university and applicable nursing applications
  • Brainstorm innovative and creative growth strategies with regard to the School of Nursing
  • Utilize system data to participate in developing forecasts for future enrollment, growth, etc. 
  • Collaborate with the University Admissions Team regularly to ensure data consistency
  • Frequently and consistently review nursing website for accuracy and ease of use for interested candidates
  • Communicate necessary changes regarding nursing website information accuracy and usability in a clear and efficient manner to appropriate university marketing team representative

4. Function Effectively within the Organizational Environment and Academic Community

  • Accept and uphold the mission and philosophy of the University and the School of Nursing 
  • Communicate clearly, efficiently and respectfully with student candidates, visitors, faculty, staff, and the community
  • Ensure accurate, relevant, and specific data regarding inquiries and applications is clearly and regularly communicated to the School of Nursing administration 
  • Attend weekly School of Nursing staff meetings and provide appropriate updates
  • Carry out other assignments as requested by the Executive Director of Nursing
