Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support in financial reporting. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits.
- Utilize financial software such as Sage or Xero for record keeping.
- Support technical accounting tasks as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within public accounting or technical accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting.
- Proficient in using financial software; experience with quickbooks is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
