Liquid Measurements and Controls is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Pottstown, PA

Overview
Liquid Measurement and Controls is a small privately owned company with 15 employees. The company has 4 operating verticals; The company builds custom fuel and propane trucks based on the customer requirements; Repairs truck meters and fuel pumping systems to include calibration and EPA tank testing; Repairs petroleum bulk supply terminals to include calibration with a mobile repair and testing team; Sells over 25,000 meters, pumps and parts to distributors and customers via telephone sales and an online store.
The accounting and operations software is a SQL based software package with custom modifications from Sage Software. The website, online store and operations software are managed and supported with internal assets.
Operations Manager
We are searching for a perceptive, creative Operations Manager to oversee office operations and administrative staff members. The Operations Manager will develop, review, and improve policies, systems, and procedures; and generally, ensure the operations operates smoothly and efficiently.
To succeed as an operations manager, you should be focused on streamlining operations to maximize quality and efficiency while reducing costs. You should be analytical, knowledgeable, and organized with a proactive attitude and strong leadership skills. Candidate with a mechanical aptitude/interest will excel in this position.
 
The ideal candidate enjoys performing different tasks as required by the operational tempo and can maintain focus while multi-tasking. 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must live or be willing to move within 20 miles of the office.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 applications and have professional keyboarding skills.
  • Must like to work with the public and employees.
  • Experience in database administration or financial analysis, preferred.
  • Exceptional time, task, and resource management skills. Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to learn Sage 100 accounting software, SQL management studio, Crystal Reports, WordPress, and other software that may be necessary to run the business.
  • Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day business operations. Provide backup coverage for the VP of Operations.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring the operation is stocked with necessary inventory and that all equipment is working and properly maintained.
  • Working with the accounting to monitor spending, and process payroll, work tickets, A/R and A/P invoices using Sage 100 ERP software
  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events.
  • Collecting, organizing, and storing information using computers and filing systems.
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals.
  • Update the company E-Commerce and websites.
  • Building and expanding on skills by engaging in educational opportunities.
  • Provide IT technical support.
