Liquidity Services, Inc. is Hiring an Energy Project Manager Near Odessa, TX

The Project Manager position is a remote role within the Operations team reporting to the Senior Director of Operations. This role supports clients’ need to document and inventory surplus asset equipment and load the data into our proprietary auction system for an online sale. Project Managers are accountable for executing the lifecycle of a surplus asset project from identification to removal. The role requires excellent self-directed qualities to manage coordination and communication with both internal functions and client stakeholders.

  • Manage the asset workflow cycle starting with the inventory catalog, pricing strategy prior to sale, load into our IT system, answer any buyer Q&A and dispute resolution, removal strategy, and confirmation.
  • Initiate field services to catalog client assets through three options: provide client templates to self-catalog assets, leverage network of contractors, and or conduct in-person direct field cataloging.
  • Collect, organize, and manage all data gathered during in-person site visits or provided by client or field services rep.
  • Collaborate with client and internal resources on lotting strategy and perform data entry and data upload into our internal IT system.
  • Initiate marketing plans or private treaty resources required to effectively execute a successful sale event.
  • Attend client in-person meetings or conference calls to discuss the scope of the asset auction project, communicate the operational process, and share project updates such as the sale stage, pricing expectations, assets sold or unsold, disputes, refunds, and additional disposition options.
  • Provide weekly project status update reports on a team call and 1v1 with the manager. These reports will include travel planning, client interactions, sale event status, associated KPIs, marketing plan, bidder inquiries, and sales results.
  • Resolve buyer dispute claims by working with customer support and the revenue team. Communicate the claim and provide recommended solutions in coordination with the revenue team within 72 hours.
  • Distribute post-sale reports to clients, which include sales results and recommendations for next steps.
  • Build productive partnerships with the internal revenue team members (sales and account managers) and Senior Project Managers. The revenue team sources new surplus projects and works with Operations program managers to map out a timeline and expectations in which operations govern all the project requirements and execution.
