Your Mission: The Director of Operations manages all operations excellence and operations support initiatives for their respective region. This position works collaboratively and cross functionally with multiple areas of the business including: new and ongoing training support initiatives, new site processing and existing site acquisition with development, operational excellence assessment review support, sales and financial analysis and reporting, equipment distribution coordination and similar activities. This role supervises the franchise business consultant activities under their assigned area, promoting their development and the franchisees they serve. How You’ll Make an Impact: Fostering close relationships with franchisees within the assigned area. This candidate is able to consult on our franchisees needs and promote ideas that will result in growth in sales, store count, PSA, proper resources allocation. This candidate will hire, train, and supervise our field team of franchise business consultants within the assigned area. This candidate is an expert communicator with our franchisees, colleagues, and vendors and maintains open dialogue. They will conduct effective weekly meetings with assigned team. Communicate changes in policy and new operations procedures to direct reports and franchisees. They will keep their supervisor informed of all pertinent issues and opportunities within the business. Provides direction to franchise business consultants to ensure all company quality standards are consistently met or exceeded and that all out of specification issues are promptly resolved within the region. Provides leadership and direction to franchise business consultants, encourages high level of team spirit, and sets a positive example. Sets the standard for the team in achieving operational excellence, including providing franchise business consultants adequate tools needed for area development. Travels within region and as required to ensure restaurant operations are successful, and to perform business reviews and assessments to ensure all company quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Targets high priority franchise businesses that need assistance. Ensures timely reporting as required from all operations staff (weekly schedules and weekly objectives, period planners, period-end reports, etc.). Assists with the franchisee approval process. Leads and ensures new store openings and store acquisitions are properly executed and supported for restaurant operations. Analyzes data and trends and communicates any concerns with appropriate staff in regards to operational excellence and any compliance issues. Works closely with research and development to implement new products, procedures, and communications to franchisees. Provides input into department budget, monitors, and recommends variance explanations as needed. Counsels’ franchisees on operational excellence, people culture, and training issues. Visits regions franchisees evaluating their operations and allocating required resources for their appropriate operation. Excellent at developing materials, creating presentations, and facilitating training to develop the team further. Skilled at public speaking and influencing direct reports, franchisees, and cross functional teams through the art of storytelling. Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or professional experience relevant to this position. At least three (5) years of management experience in QSR Operations or a related hospitality position. Strong relationship, team building and communication (written & verbal) skills. Demonstrated planning, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds and the ability to reach and move items from as high as six (6) feet and as low as six (6) inches off the ground. Ability to understand directions, instructions, and product specifications. Ability to travel by airplane and/or automobile across North America. Interpersonal and negotiation skills, Computer knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Office programs. Eagerness to learn other technology platforms. Fluent bilingual skills in the French Canadian language would be considered an asset. Preferred Little Caesars operational experience (a certified Little Caesar training manager or regional manager with a proven record of profitability). Multi-unit management experience. Point of Sale system experience. Fiscal Responsibility. Where You’ll Work: Remote position, which works outside of the office a minimum of 50% of the time in the marketplace, consulting with franchisees to achieve all essential job functions. No hazardous conditions present. Works a minimum of five (5) days per week, may include weekends and evening hours and works in-restaurant as required. Is willing to travel throughout Canada and North America as needed. Works effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
